WHAT IS OUTSOURCING?
Outsourcing or subcontracting is the process by which resources company delegates certain areas to another company.
In the case of software development, there are different types of outsourcing:
- Hiring a number of technical staff (known pejoratively as body-shopping)
- Hire experts to provide value
- Hire a team to be oriented by functionality
- Hiring teams in other countries to reduce costs
OUTSOURCING TECHNICAL RESOURCES
Probably the least effective way to outsource. In this mode, the layer of value (methodology, know-how) is provided by the company that hires and often requires investment in training resources. This is the “traditional” way that large consulting companies sell wholesale to other companies. We have examples of these companies in large buildings throughout Barcelona.
