Last week we went to FESTUP – Barcelona’s Startup Community Festival, where attendees have an opportunity to highlight, support and celebrate their exciting entrepreneurial ecosystem !
Festup was oprganized by Barcinno – the top international company focused on the Barcelona tech scene. They target audience of global investors, entrepreneurs and business professionals with an interest in Barcelona tech, startups and innovation. Barcinno is a place to introduce your company to the Barcelona and International business communities and showcase your products or services, team, jobs, and culture. It’s a great branding tool and a simple way to reach Barcinno’s international audience.
This year is 3rd eddition of FESTUP and it is all about workshops, presentations, awards, networking and parties. Barcinno knows who to combine fun and work in an efficient way.
The aim of the event is to highlight and unite the local creators, designers, and innovators who are changing the landscape of this city. Barcelona became one of the world-leading startup community, it became a home to cutting-edge design innovation and technological advancements.
The 2015 edition showcases some of the fastest, most exciting startups and tech companies in Barcelona.
There were 3 interactive workshops :

After the workshops, Barcinno said who won the competition as a best company to work for – Typeform. We were incredibly happy as Typeform is our client and we always try to be more than just a software developer for our clients, we try to build long lasting relationships. And Typeform really deserved this award as they don’t have employees, they have team members and everyone shares the same philosophy and goals.
We also won an award, a creativity award. We participated in the youlapse competition. YouLapse is a new age media so that event attendees and brand lovers can share their pictures in their favourite social media in a fun and unique way by using time lapse techniques selecting photos via their swipe interphase, adding a song and synchronizing it with the selected frames, all this in less than one minute.
We decided to try their new product and come up with a very creative video. Everyone in FESTUP took part there, we created a video full of selfies with every single person from FESTUP. People also enjoyed it and at the end we came up with a video full of laughs, smiles, funny moments and true emotions. Coming back to the work part, as you may know building a sustainable startup ecosystem is not that easy. Most of the startups fail and this is a perfect place to learn from successful people, how they did it, what are the new tech trends in the market, find your key collaborators and software companies like us.
There, we spoke with many people and it is a pleasure when your clients are there and they recommend you as cracks in software.
It takes hard work and requires the right mix of philosophy, leadership and dedication over a long period of time. Especially when tech is not a core business but of course it is an essential part, it is crucial to find a tech partner, that you could rely on. It is very difficult to find a company, which would do everything from the beginning right, using working methodologies and do a project like it was theirs one. Due to our clients recommendations, we have a prove, that we are the best in Spain in software.
