Last month we attended two events organized by Infinit Event Experience to support our partner. Other than just organizing events, they try to create social experiences that are enhanced by technology. They use last experiential technologies such as RFID, NFC, iBeacons, Eskin Tattoos, as a way of engagement with the participants.
INFINIT EVENT COMMUNITY
On Thursday the 22nd of October, we attended the first day of a monthly afterwork meeting. It took place in Betahaus – a coworking & event space with around 2000 sqmts divided in 6 floors and 5 terraces; a perfect place for organizing engaging events.
Let me tell you more about the event. As it’s name says, it’s a sort of community of professionals that love technology, digital marketing and leadership. Indeed, we got the opportunity to meet like minded people.
We actually really enjoyed it because it was different from other networking events we usually attend. Don’t get me wrong, we enjoy all the events we go to, but as it is an afterwork meeting, people were more relaxed and everyone was here to have fun and share marketing and technology ideas. We played a few interactive games and actually laughed a lot. The Marshmallow Challenge was one of the exercises we did, which consists in collaborating with a small team in order to build a freestanding structure made of marshmallows and spaghetti. Usually, there is always some people that are not that comfortable to start a conversation, and obviously, this competition broke the ice in a way because we were mixed with people that we didn’t know and had to work quickly together, which really lightened the mood. Other than that, the organizers recording videos and taking pictures with a GoPro, and thanks to Estrella Damm, we had a few beers!
Finally, we talked about the latest technologies that are changing the customer’s experience nowadays and we are quite excited to be part of the Digital community and can’t wait to attend the next one!
TECH EXPERIENCE CONFERENCE
On Friday the 30th of October, we attended the Tech Experience Conference that was held in the Antigua Fábrica de Damm, an amazing venue where you can find expositions of the warehouse dating from the year 1876.
As mentioned earlier, the organizers try to offer engaging experiences to the participants using various technologies. That is why they provided us with iPads and a personalized app where we could check the agenda, follow the keynote presentations in real time, send remote questions to the speakers, chat with other attendees and take notes during the event. We also had the option to download the app on our phones.
There was a photo booth, food trucks for food and massage sessions! For anyone that has attended tech events before, you might know that it isn’t the common way it’s done. So once again, very engaging. In my opinion, the most interesting topics were:
- Neuromarketing – which means that you study the emotions of the people to have a better knowledge of the ones that are relevant in the decision making and this knowledge is then used to improve the customer’s experience. We even got the chance to witness how it works on a volunteer. We were able to visualise the attention and emotions of the participant while he was watching a video.
- Viral Content Marketing – a technique to increase brand awareness or other marketing objectives by creating a buzz that is usually delivered by word of mouth or by social networks on the internet.
- Finally, listening to the startup elevator pitches was quite interesting because we got the opportunity to discover very interesting projects and also because the jury was giving very constructive critics to the startups regarding the way they were presenting their project.
