28th of October Apiumtech took part in NewCo event in Barcelona, where we met inspiring and innovative companies! Originally, it was founded in San Francisco and now it is successful on over 16 cities around the world. Its all about entrepreneurship, technology, innovation and success.

Launched in 2012 in San Francisco, NewCo’s festival products encourage participants to “Get out to get in.”
Through intimate, founder-led sessions, a NewCo festival creates lasting engagement and deep connections.
In Barcelona, 60 successful companies took part in this event, by opening doors to the NewCo members and organizing 1 hour presentation of their successful business model, innovative ideas and digital strategies. After this 1 hour session people had an opportunity to ask questions, speak face-to-face with CEOs and executives of successful fast growing companies.
During this event we discussed what steps should be taken to become a successful startup? How to be amongst these innovative leaders who actually revolutionize the society? There is no magic formula to ensure the achievement of objectives, but of course there are key elements of growth: having talent, making contacts, and knowing how to network and negotiate.
This day was full of inspiration and networking. This was an incredible chance to visit offices of La Vanguardia, Puig, Socialcar, Caixa Bank. Privalia, Ofertia, Betahaus, Mytaxi, Skyscanner, Ulabox, Sonar, Xing and many many more.
After a such intensive day we were invited to outstanding restaurant Gallito, where we had 4 hours more of networking in a more informal atmosphere.
We got inside the world’s most intriguing companies to learn, connect and collaborate! What is very important is to know your industry, you have to learn about what the competition is doing, become familiar with the business models that have worked and, above all, know the ecosystem around you. Therefore, events like NewCo should be put in the entrepreneur’s agenda!
